The Feegles Rough Guide to the Convention

Feegle's Guide to Conventions

If you have no idea what's going on, or just need a re-introduction, this is the place for you. This panel is running on Friday and Saturday to get you in the mood for the weekend.

Gopher and Watch Briefing

If you've signed up to help come here to find out what that might entail. Rewards abound for those that volunteer over the weekend!

Borrowing

Just one of the games we'll be playing over the weekend. It's fun to play and watch! This is one that you can join in the second time round, if you're of the nervous persuasion.

Unseen University Challange

Do you have what it take to make it to the Final? Do you have what it takes to then beat the Committee/Guest Team? Teams of four please!

Just a Minute

Can you speak on a given topic without hesitation, deviation or repetition? Then play here. No? Well, come see those who think they can.

Animal Magic

The first of our Guest Panels for the weekend. Jacqueline Simpson is a reknowned folklorist and has co-authored with Terry on the Folklore of the Disc. Here she tells all about the cunning fox, and why we think he's cunning. And other interesting bits!

Going Postal

The latest of the Discworld films will be shown on Friday. Which links in nicely with Extra! Extra! (Can you guess what that one is?)

Opening Ceremony

A chance for us to introduce the guests and show and tell you what the weekend will be like!

A chance to dance the night away, Irish style! With Irish traditional music to dance a few sets and jigs to as well as some more gentle styles, we'll keep you moving through the night.

Scavenger Hunt

Those of you following on Facebook or Twitter (or the forum) will have seen some of the clues to the Scavenger Hunt. Collect your Hunt sheets and see how many you guessed right (and then hunt down the people responsible)! Also, try and find those things!

Guards! Guards!

Music with Rocks in

Disco too much for you? Céilí not your thing? Join in here for some mad Discworld music and songwriting!

Snowgum Films

If you're a fan of Terry and his adapted works, then you'll have heard of these guys. They're Australian, or at least based in Australia, and have been working on an adaption of Troll Bridge – a Discworld short – for some time now. They've recently fundraised the money and will be here via Skype to talk to us about the upcoming production.

Bernard in the Chair

If you've heard this man, then you need no further explaination. If you've not, then you really need to see him to understand him. One of Terry's closest friends, Bernard has worked on more Discworld Art work than you can shake a reasonably large stick at. He also likes to talk, a lot... He will need the two hours... And when those two hours are up, you'll still want to hear more. That's why he's our Guest of Honour!

Smythe, Colin Smythe. Agent 007a

He's the man who signed Terry up for his first book deal. So yes, he's got things to say.

Maskerade

We already have a few signups for the Maskerade. But don't let that put you off signing up on the day. Our amazing winners from 2009 signed up on the Saturday, wrote the script on the day, and, clearly, wowed their audience! Little bits, big bits! Anything to entertain the audience is accepted!

Disco

What can we say, we like to keep you entertained long into the night!
